Convention is seductive because it’s easy. Nuance is daunting because it’s hard.

Anticipatory retardation, a common malady in the Arts, can result in severe cognitive dissonance in one’s images, as well as blurred vision, heart palpitations, and a greater than usual craving for tequila in the artist.

Aptitude, dedication, education come to little without wit.

Doubt yourself. It’s the path to true love.

Never take it as you find it. It can always be better.

Lots of endeavors may enable you to better “find yourself”. However, why do we so often assume that what we might discover will be desirable?

The opposite of conventional isn’t unconventional. It’s contradiction.

Art can be anything you want it to be, but only if you first allow it to be whatever it wants to be.
